Sessions take place either on locations, such as a park, or in the comfort of your own home. Sessions usually take anywhere from 1 – 2 hours, depending on the subject. I allow more time for newborn and infant sessions so that the pressure is taken off for him or her to “perform.”

I also offer a combination session, which includes time on location as well as in your home.

Booking a Session

Once your session is booked, we will have a phone consultation. We will go over the details of the session such as location, clothing, and the general “feel” you are going for in your photographs. It is also a time for me to get to know you and for you to get to know me. I want you to feel comfortable, as if I’m an old friend of the family.

Maternity and Newborn Sessions

Maternity session should be taken in your 34th to 36th week of pregnancy. They can either be done with just the mother or with the husband and additional children. I love to see the way older siblings interact with the unborn baby within the mother’s womb as well as the proud smile on the father’s face.

Newborn sessions should be done before the baby is 4 weeks old. These sessions are almost always done in the home for the comfort of the baby (and mom!) Once you know your due date, we can set a tentative session date which can be worked around. Please be sure to contact me as soon as you can after the birth of the baby so we can finalize your session.

Post-Session Information

Once the session is over, my favorite part begins! I get to go home and begin working on the wonderful images we captured. It usually takes me about 4-7 days to finish editing and setting up your proof page. Once it is complete, I will contact you with a web address that you can view your proofs. Please feel free to share it with family and friends. They can order too!

The proof page will remain up for 7 days. After 7 days it will be removed but can be re uploaded for a small fee. So, it’s in your best interest to order within a week.

Ordering Prints

Each image has a number assigned to it. That is the number you will use when ordering your prints. Once you decide which prints you would like to order, you can either email me or call me with your choice. Payment for prints is due upon ordering. You can pay with either a credit card (through PayPal) or a check.

Cancellations

The session fee is due upon booking your session date, and is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule your session, the fee will be reapplied to your new date.

Copyright Laws

Just a reminder. It is illegal to take my work and copy or reprint your photos without my permission. I use a professional lab, which produces high quality, high resolution prints. A reprint that is done badly is a reflection of my work and can hurt my business. I ask that you please respect the copyright law and only order prints directly from me.
